Founder Story
Along the way, I met other families who had lost loved ones to similar forms of challenges. But unlike me, many were overwhelmed by grief, paralyzed by financial loss, and unaware of their rights. Without the resources or support to keep pushing, they were forced to accept what happened without justice or closure. That’s when I realized: this is a silent crisis in our communities.
There are countless families suffering alone and unheard simply because they don’t have the tools, time, or support to fight back.
Spirit Fed was born to change that.
The name Spirit Fed comes from my mother’s ministry. She lived to feed others spiritually through faith, love, and compassion. This organization carries that legacy forward. It’s built in her honor and powered by her spirit. We are here so that no one else has to go through what I went through alone.

In Loving Memory of "Kandi"
Born from Grief, Built on Faith

In 2023, I lost my mother after a heartbreaking series of care decisions that left me with questions about the quality and effectiveness of treatment she received. What followed wasn’t just grief, it was a painful journey through a healthcare and legal system that was never designed for people like me to navigate alone. For an entire year, I was turned away by lawyer after lawyer. The case was “too complex,” “too time-consuming,” or simply not worth their effort. Each rejection made me realize how difficult it is for individuals without support to to be heard.
With no legal background and nothing but determination, I combed through thousands of medical records, reading, researching, and learning on my own. Slowly, I put the pieces together. I did this in the middle of mourning. I did this alone.
